Lying Media Bastards: Welcome Hilary Duff Fans!

Wow. I read their little thread and I am absolutely speechless.

They have absolutely no recognition of the fact that she's been implanted in their consciousness by the Disney Company like a little Trojan horse--manipulating them, their buying habits, and even the way they think.

Instead, they launch into a myopic debate about her personal virtues or lack thereof. It's exactly what Disney wants: to be on the forefront of conversation topics among teens--tomorrow's biggest buyers. The interest and attention equals dollar signs for them.

Of course, she could be the best or the worst singer / person / role model in the world. That's not the issue. What IS the issue is that they are being so manipulated by the company that profits financially from all she produces.

I am sad that they appear completely unaware of this. Was I this ignorant at age 13? Is this just how 13-year-olds are? Is it just these girls that are particularly sheltered and naive, or are they this way in large part because of the way that corporations have taken part in their parenting & education?

I am completely bemused by the whole thing.

Dear Michele, I totally agree with you. That they are just using Hilary. But the thing that you just have to realize is that if Hilary does feel comfortable with what she is doing we all just have to repect that. And I'm pretty sure that she knows what she is doing.
